Specifications

GRAMMER guitar is a brand that was launched in Nashville in the mid 1960's by country guitarist Bill Grammer, guitar shop owner Clyde Raid, and producer J. W Gauer. Sold to AMPEG in 1968 and continued to be produced under the AMPEG brand until 1971. It was a model that was widely used by country musicians. The body top is Alpine spruce, the side & back are Rosewood, with an ebony fingerboard & bridge.

The natural spruce top has some wear, as well as some cracks in the varnish but not affecting the sound or stability of the instrument. The back and sides, like the top, have some dings and scratches. The neck is straight and accurate, providing a consistent playability along the entire fingerboard with good intonation. The action on this guitar is nice and low, with a tone that resonates clear and strong throughout the range of the instrument.

There are a few pick scratches, but this guitar is in very good condition . It possesses a crisp and even sound, with a nice, uplifting, well-balanced vintage tone. This is a very rare instrument that is not often available in the second hand market. A valuable vintage guitar that exudes the Nashville sound in spades.
