This unique guitar was built in Boulder, Colorado by master luthier and teacher Jonas Ceelen. Jonas Guitars are hand built with the finest quality, using rare woods and feature uncompromising style.  The unique shape of this guitar creates a tone that is unique, but fits into any musical setting with definition, brilliance and sustain.  In addition to building guitars, Jonas operates a school for luthiers, passing on his knowledge and technique to the next generation of builders. The amplified sound of this instrument effectively duplicates the acoustic tone and makes it an even more valuable tool for the studio and stage.

In addition to utilizing special woods and innovative construction, Jonas has a unique attitude regarding the impact of finishes on his guitars.

“Here is my conclusion: It’s best to stick with limiting the amount of lacquer coats on the guitar’s surface. It’s best to coat it just enough to have a good and acceptable protection from the elements and players usage. Some woods require more coats than others. Therefore if you see a little less of a shine on a guitar, you know that the guitar builder would not sacrifice sound for shine.”
