Specifications

UK based luthier John Hullah began making acoustic instruments under his own name in the late 1970s, following years of repairing instruments and working for Fylde guitars. Since then he has made almost 800 high quality mandolins, bouzoukis, guitars and banjos.

This guitar is an all-solid spruce/rosewood cutaway. The neck on this one is very slim & nut width across strings is 1.5 inch. Saddle width is 2.25 inch and the scale length is 24.75 inch. John Hullah's first guitars after he left Fylde were very much clones of the latter and this one shows this heritage by having a zero fret. Nice wood binding/rosewood bridge pins/Schaller machines. It also has a preamp that works well. Overall condition is very good.  Featuring a balanced and evenly voiced sound quality with impressive acoustic volume and accurate amplification, this is an impressive example of a hand built cutaway acoustic with excellent construction and top quality materials from the UK.
