This wonderful Dreadnought was built by luthier Chris Ivory in 2008.  A meticulous craftsman and dedicated luthier, he sculpted this modern classic from carefully chosen woods and by combining the best techniques of master builders.  The Body style and internal bracing are built to Martin D18\28 specs. Bracing utilizes a forward shifted X brace (ala Pre War Martin style). The top bracing is scalloped and tuned using Alan Carruth’s Chladni pattern tuning process. This process is used to reduce amount of bracing mass while providing enough top stiffness and support. The top is solid, book matched Lutz Spruce (Kermodie Spruce).  Top and back bracing is quarter sawn aircraft grade sitka spruce. Aircraft spruce is very strong\lightweight with minimal run out.  Back and sides are variegated book-matched Ziricote with a herringbone center strip. The Top and back binding is figured Pommelle Sapele and has a herringbone profile and Herringbone rosette. An integrated double Vee top\back brace to secure\stabilize the neck block. Vee-brace is a sandwich of Aircraft plywood and Carbon fiber cloth.

Featuring Macassar Ebony end-graft, Ebony bridge with bone compensated (intoned) saddle, tortoise shell pick-guard (Acrylic), Solid Honduran mahogany head and tail blocks.  The neck is one piece, hand carved from Honduran mahogany. It is Bolt on construction (2 bolts), cantilevered fretboard extension (carbon reinforced), Two way adjustable LMII truss rod & Gabon ebony fretboard.

Ultimately, these rare woods and impeccable craftsmanship have created a Dreadnought guitar that is resonant, balanced and even, with a tone that is both inspiring and unique.  Discerning players will appreciate the responsiveness and accuracy throughout the entire range.  This guitar is in near perfect condition.
