Fylde Guitars Orsino

UK Luthier Roger Bucknall crafted this beauty in 1979, one Fylde’s guitars best sellers at the time. Nic Jones used an Orsino to record  " Penguin Eggs". Fylde guitars still make the Orsino, although some details have changed. The 1979 guitar has a slightly different body shape, rather less waisted, but the other dimensions are still the same.  Fylde used Schaller tuners in 1979, and the newer guitars have a slimmer neck. Like all Fylde guitars, this Orsino features a “zero fret” that provides clear, ringing open notes.  The purity of tone and balanced response make this a versatile instrument.

The timbers used in the Orsino are light but strong, resulting in a rich and resonant guitar, very responsive even to a light touch. Excellent for fingerpicking, its loud warm tone is also ideal for gentle chords

Honduras Mahogany back and sides, Select Western Red Cedar top, one piece Honduras Mahogany neck, Indian Rosewood fingerboard and bridge, pearl position markers, chrome plated Schaller tuners, Rosewood bindings with black/white purflings on front. Fylde guitars are played by many famous musicians including Richie Blackmore, Andy Latimer, Gordon Giltrap,  Arlen Roth and Al Di Meola.
