This Alvarez Yairi JY-10 is a well crafted made in Japan. Alvarez-Yairi produced this Jumbo between 1994 and 1998. Featuring a solid Spruce top with Maple back and sides, it has excellent tone with good projection. This guitar is in good condition, but does have a fair amount of small dings and some general wear. The slim neck plays well and has good intonation and minimal fret wear. Although this Jumbo moves a lot of air, it is not overly deep, making this instrument very comfortable. The volume of this instrument makes it ideal for live performance and it can easily cut through an acoustic ensemble.
The body is 17 1/8" on the lower bout and 4 5/8" deep at the endpin. The nut is 1 11/16" and the neck is slim and fast with a C-shaped profile. A very well constructed and excellent sounding instrument.
